Features and Benefits of the SDA3 Adapter
In Peugeot, Citroën, and DS vehicles, electronic control units are distributed across different communication buses:
- Standalone Diagnostic Interface (e.g., SDPROG OBD): Handles basic modules, such as the Engine ECU.
- Interface + Adapter: Essential setup to connect with the rest of the vehicle’s electronics, including:
- Body Control Module (BSI / BCM)
- Airbag system
- Comfort control modules
Important Note: While using the connected adapter, the application scans additional modules (BSI, Airbag, etc.). To perform engine diagnostics again, unplug the adapter and connect the OBD2 interface directly.
SDA3 Adapter User Instructions
- Choose Your Diagnostic Objective:
- Quick Diagnostics (OBDII) / Engine Diagnostics: Connect the diagnostic interface directly to the OBD2 port without the adapter.
- Full Diagnostics (BSI, Airbag, Comfort Systems): Plug the adapter into the OBD2 port, then connect your diagnostic interface into the adapter.
- Launch the Application: Turn on the vehicle ignition and launch the SDPROG application on your phone or tablet.
- Scan and Clear Fault Codes: Perform full diagnostics on the selected module.
